Orange County Young Republicans endorse Janet Nguyen for Supervisor

Huntington Beach, CA - - The momentum for Senator Janet Nguyen’s campaign for Orange County Supervisor continues to grow with the announcement today that she has been endorsed by the Orange County Young Republicans.

“Everywhere she has served, Senator Janet Nguyen has been a champion for the issues important to young professionals - economic growth, lower taxes, and personal freedom,” said Austin Edsell, President and Chair of the Orange County Young Republicans. “Janet Nguyen is the only suitable candidate to win this critical election and represent the First District.”

With the support of the OCYR’s coming on the heels of the Lincoln Club and New Majority endorsements, Janet Nguyen solidifies her position as the consensus Republican candidate for Supervisor in the First District.

The Orange County Young Republicans (OCYR) is an organization consisting of young professionals and political activists who are committed to a commonsense approach to politics. They believe in the Republicans ideals of lower taxation, limited government, personal freedom, and personal responsibility. OCYR promotes and supports their endorsed candidates through grassroots efforts, regularly deploying volunteers to campaigns.

Janet is a small-business owner, a former State Assemblymember, former Orange County Supervisor, and former Garden Grove City Councilmember. She is the former Vice-President of Government and Public Affairs for a local Chamber of Commerce. She has lived in the district for over 30 years and currently resides in Huntington Beach with her husband Tom and two sons.

Janet Nguyen has been named Legislator of the Year by the American Legion, the Association of the United States Army and the Vietnam Veterans of America. She was named “Champion of Manufacturing” by the California Manufacturers and Technology Association and “Elected Official of the Year” by the American Council of Engineering Companies for her work to protect jobs.
